It seems as though there may be a way to finally get IWC to hand over the400 hours of footage for which the Scottish people paid £1m.
Kirsty Wark and her company have consistently refused to allow this footage and when the final four-part documentary offered no new insights into why Scotland’s most important building for 300 years turned into what First Minister Jack McConnell called the biggest disappointment of devolution.
Lord Fraser said: “The broader Scottish public wants closure on this matter and I don’t see how that can happen without the footage being made available, which should be done as a matter of principle and public record.
“I don’t see what IWC Media has to lose by handing the tapes over. They have done an awful lot of harm to their reputation by refusing to do so. They have not won many friends.”
Finally, the still open inquiry may get the footage it should have should have been supplied with immediately when asked. See the links below for more information.
