MRSA hits new record levels in Scotland

Our elected Scottish ministers have failed to tackle the MRSA crisis according to Dr. John Cowan who is a co-author of the MRSA Report. He reports that hospital infection could be causing 400 deaths a year in Scotland. That put’s the blood of Scots on the hands of our ministers and first minister.

Dr Ian Gould, a consultant microbiologist at Aberdeen University, said while the trend in Scotland may have levelled out, it was still one of the worst in Europe.

Health Minister, Andy Kerr says ‘I welcome this report, which confirms again that MRSA has stabilised in Scotland.” This is typical of our ministers, welcoming mediocrity. He should be fired!
