Shorage of childminders crisis

A study carried out by the Scottish Childminding Association said more than half of the families looking for a minder in Edinburgh would be unable to find one.

The city’s council has been aware of a growing problem with childcare for several years, and two years ago put their all their bets on a freephone service designed to link parents to available childcare places in the city. This obviously hasn’t worked and the leader of Education in Edinburgh, who has been trying to shut down Edinburgh schools for the past year, has his head in the sand yet again.

“We do acknowledge that this is still a problem in the city, however, and the free nursery places for three to four-year-olds is one way we see of alleviating the situation, although it is only part time.

“It can be difficult finding childcare because of this. No one at the council would deny this is a problem.”

All this blubbering from the Hippy Rev is doing nothing to aleviate the problem. Short of sticking their head in the sand, it seems as though the elected representatives who have been doing this job for too many years than any of us care to remember keep getting it wrong.

What this Rev doesn’t tell you that he is making money from his website which includes advertisements with such nice titles as “Chat with lesbians now”, “Master Phone Psychics”, “Amazing Psychic Readings” as well as ads to download spyware.
