Tom Ponton under fire again

I am no fan of Lib-Dem councillor Tom Pontin. He disgusts me at times and I think he should have stood down with the under-age debacle. One thing about Pontin is at least you know where you stand with him which is more than you can with the Labour councillor who is quoted today in the Evening News.

“What he said is absolutely disgraceful. How the Lib Dems put up with a cretin like Tom Ponton is beyond me.

“If Lesley Hinds looks like a sow’s ear, then what does he like? The terms pig and backside spring to mind.

“I just can’t understand why Tom would make these comments and some of my colleagues will now report him to the Standards Commission.

“We believe he has breached the councillor’s code of conduct and brought the office of Lord Provost into disrepute. He is an unfit and improper person to be in public office.”

Why was the above tirade not attributed to the councillor who made it? As usual - slimeballs stay in the background.

If Tom Pontin faces a standards probe so should the above councillor. If he is willing to speak to a journalist in his position as a councillor then he should have the balls to allow the journalist to use his name. His leader, ‘Dopey’ Donald Anderson, should be the first to have him outed.
