Edinburgh Tory lied in election

Nigel Griffiths was probably the worst Edinburgh liar in the recent general election. However, the Conservative party are not immune to telling porkies.

Edinburgh West’s conservative candidate was also featured in Private Eye’s Electionballs special:

In nearby Edinburgh West it was Tory David Brogan who was accused of misleading voters with his statement that he had “lived and worked in Edinburgh for many years” implying that he lived locally. In fact, he explained to the Scottish press, lived in London since 1998, but was planning to move to the Scottish capital “win or lose”. So he will be packing boxes after being trounced by his Lib Dem rival?
