Nigel Griffiths features in Private Eye

Cheat & TheifLying Edinburgh South MP, ‘Nasty’ Nigel Griffiths has been featured in Private Eye 1132 under the banner Electionballs. The story is roughly based on our earlier stories about his name-dropping.

“I’ve been lucky enough to work with Damon Albarn of Gorillas [sic] and Blur and also my friend June Sarpong, from TV” wrote Labour MP Nigel Griffiths to first time voters in his Edinburgh South constituency – no doubt leaving the youth vote utterly appalled.

His other leaflets also featured a host of celebs, such as author Ian Rankin and, bizarrely, Robin Harper, co-convenor of the Scottish Green Party. The MSP complained that the leaflet made it appear he was endorsing Griffiths – even though there was a Green candidate in the constituency.

It is nice to see other’s picking up on his lying and cheating.
