Nigel Griffiths features in Private Eye

Lying Edinburgh South MP, ‘Nasty’ Nigel Griffiths has been featured in Private Eye 1132 under the banner Electionballs. The story is roughly based on our earlier stories about his name-dropping.

“I’ve been lucky enough to work with Damon Albarn of Gorillas [sic] and Blur and also my friend June Sarpong, from TV” wrote Labour MP Nigel Griffiths to first time voters in his Edinburgh South constituency – no doubt leaving the youth vote utterly appalled.

His other leaflets also featured a host of celebs, such as author Ian Rankin and, bizarrely, Robin Harper, co-convenor of the Scottish Green Party. The MSP complained that the leaflet made it appear he was endorsing Griffiths – even though there was a Green candidate in the constituency.

It is nice to see other’s picking up on his lying and cheating.
