Red faces all around for Council

Not quite as reported in the Evening News, the inspiringcapital.com domain was not hijacked, it was taken because the Council and their agency of record, Interbrand, screwed up royally.

EdinburghSucks.com does own the domain names inspiringcapital.com, inspiringcapital.co.uk, inspiring-capital.com and inspiring-capital.co.uk. We have these registered in our name and are more than willing to hand them over to the city fathers, at no cost to the city.

What we require for the handover is that the following two simple conditions be met:

1. The leader of the Council apologises to me in the Evening News or Scotsman for the vile attacks on me in the press stating that I undermined the hard work that has taken place on the campaign and that I have a serious gripe with the capital. I love the city and I only highlighted the Council’s and their agencies shortcomings

2. Interbrand admits in the Evening News or Scotsman that they did screw up royally by not registering the domain names as all other marketing professionals have stated.

I had in fact used the phrase ‘inspiring capital’ some time ago on this site and had even prompted the Council and Interbrand that the domains were available but they took ZERO action when they could have. It is now in their hands.
