This is an absolutely brilliant website! As a council-taxpaying citizen of Edinburgh I have gradually becoming more despairing at the antics of the dullard local politicians who run this city and, of course, their fawning, jobsworth officials.

I thought nothing could be done about this sad state of affairs until I came across your website and realised I was not alone.

Keep up the good work - and how about a comment section? I’m sure you would not go short!

congratulations on exposing the bufoons who run this city. as far as cardownie is concerned a good question might be about his frequent trips to kiev and his little habit of doling out western bars of chocolate to the natives. i sincerely hope this is to promote the good image of edinburgh and not as alleged by one of his travelling companions “as a good way of obtaining favours”. its time that we as the milk cow residents of this city got our act together and vote these parasitic little oiks out. they have creamed enough from us in their orwellian state that once was a good place to live.

Whilst I have no problem with your questioning of the “elected officials” I feel you will have absolutelty no credibility if you continue to remain anonomous.

Well done for exposing yet again another example of the ongoing incompetency of this council. As a local business owner I am constantly reminded by both fellow business collegues and customers of the frustration they feel towards this council. The fact that we as citizens pay for roadtax and astronomical parking fees there is no return for our money. We have as outlined on national TV the “worst inner city roads” in EUROPE, the impact of this authoritarian regime affects all aspects of life in Edinburgh. It is a sad fact that I personally have never heard one positive comment on any policy that these people conjure up,the unrest within the small business community is increasing it is becoming more and more difficult to operate and sustain our livlihoods when we are constantly harassed by the uniform brigade be it “blue meanies, environmental wardens, traffic wardens, noise wardens…” Lets get some action and vote the right people into power who will restore Edinburgh to its original status PEOPLE WITH BRAINS!Please reply with ideas on how to take these people to task!

Hmm…I am wondering would you be able to recommend any websites for property letting in Edinburgh that do not charge extortionate rental rates? Or do you know any private landlords that I may be able to contact?

A great site you have - and I thought you might like to hear a tale from a few years ago that illustrates the callibre of person runnind Edinburgh city council.

I had the misfortune one night to be in the company of several councillors in the Jinglin Geordie when their main topic of conversation was “are you a scruncher or a folder?”

This apparently related to toilet habits - do you fold the loo roll or scrunch it up when you clean yourself after defecating?

The discussion was led by ‘Spike’ a disgraced former member of the labour group.

I always thought they talked a load of crap, but this seemed to prove it.
