City Development Dept joins Edinburgh Sucks

So now the City Devleopment Department of the council have joined EdinburghSucks.com in showing visitors to the city that the council is indeed an ass. A visitor to the city has gone through the following nightmare.

On returning to my vehicle about 2.30pm, I was amazed to find that I had been issued with a penalty charge notice, stating that my vehicle had been “parked without clearly displaying a valid ticket or voucher”.

I of course assumed that some kind of mistake had been made and appealed against the notice in writing. I have just received a reply from the City Development department of Edinburgh City Council, stating that although it is not disputed that my vehicle was parked displaying a voucher, I had purchased it from a machine designated for coach parking only.

So this is how the council treat the visitors to our city. We know you paid for the parking but you paid for it at the wrong machine – gimme more money! Isn’t it an ‘inspiring capital’.

It is about time bumbling Andy, otherwise known as ‘transport supremo’ Andrew Burns or Herr Donald Anderson write a letter to this person, inviting them to the city to apologise for the way she has been treated by the Council.
