City Council

Interbrand, redeem yourselves

It is quite obvious that I am not going to get the apologies that I asked for from Edinburgh’s council leader nor Interbrand the agency behind the cock-up.

Now Interbrand have a chance to redeem themselves and show that they do actually care about the the citizens of Edinburgh.

In the interests of being good citizens we are willing to hand over all domains owned by EdinburghSucks.com at no cost (i.e. FREE) to the City of Edinburgh Council to further the city’s branding effort. There is now one final condition:

That Interbrand, the agency who neglected to register the domains and who have earned so much of the £880,000 donate at least ONE PERCENT of that amount, £8,800, to the Patients Fund at the Fillieside Section of Findlay House, formerly Findlay Ward, Eastern General Hospital, Edinburgh.

‘Leis an t-amas a th’ againn a bhith nar deagh luchd-àiteachadh tha sinn deònach na h-aitreabhan air fad aig EdinburghSucks.com a’ leigeil seachd gun chosg sam bith (tha sin ri ràdh saor ‘s an asgaidh) don Chomhairle Bhaile Mhòir Dun Èideann airson piseach a thoirt air na h-oidhirp mhargaideachd den chathair. Chan e a-nis ach aon cùmhnant deireannach a th’ ann.

Gun bheir Interbrand, am buidheann gun do rinn dearmad air na h-aitreabhan a chlàradh ‘s gun do choisinn mòran den £880,000, aig a char as lugha aon sa cheud den t-sùim ud, £8,800, do mhaoin nan euslainteach aig Roinn Fillieside den Taigh Fhionnlaigh (a bha roimhe) Uàird Fhionnlaigh, An t-ospadal General Eastern, Dun Èideann ‘

The day the cheque is handed over to Fillieside is the day the domains shall be transferred. We then hope to draw a line under the whole affair.

One also has to remember that the above amount will not be the actual cost to Interbrand because it is a donation to a charity, then there is tax implications where Interbrand can use the amount against taxes.

Furthermore, I will give one day (8-10 hours) of free consulting services (value £1500) to the Council or to their agency, Interbrand, to work on the internet strategy of the brand to include internet marketing and SEO. I will pay all of my own expenses to attend the meeting(s) whether they be in London, Edinburgh or even New York.

About Fillieside at Findlay House.
Fillieside at Findlay House is an NHS facility that was formerly called Findlay Ward, a part of the old Eastern General Hospital in Seafield, Edinburgh. It provides full-time long term continuing palliative care to the elderly. They have 21 long term beds and 9 beds for respite care. They are desperate for funds to build their patients a conservatory to enable the patients to mix more with each other and give them a better quality of life.

Interbrand or the Council please contact me by clicking here.

It is interesting to note that Interbrand on the portfolio page do not even mention the City of Edinburgh Council.
