The city council have gone outside their ‘inspiring capital’ again to award part of the branding pie to Leeds based agency, Elmwood. Making it slightly better than the Interbrand fiasco is the fact that at least Elmwood have an Edinburgh office in Thistle Street.
Although the available news is quite sketchy at the moment and Elmwood have no news of the job on their website yet and they don’t have the Council listed as one of their clients yet it seems. The sketchy details so far are that the agency are going to handle the local placement of the Logo within and around the City.
There is also no details of the contract on the Council’s website yet.
Elmwood are an award wining agency and their Paul Sudron won the Designer of the Year gong at the recent Scottish Design Awards.
Updates will be coming on this story.
