Cleansing Dept.

Wheelie bins - permanent street furniture?

How can we expect the council to get rid of the rubbish in the administration up in the High Street when that administration cannot even get the rubbish collected from the citizens.

Wheelie bins are now becoming permanent street furniture around the city as the councillors have withdrawn the required facilities to allow the binmen to collect the rubbish.

News coming out ivory towers is to put your wheelie bin out at the same time and now all the elderly and disabled people are doing an assualt course around their neighbourgoods because the wheelie bins are cluttering up the streets for days and days on end.

It is strange that when Maureen ‘three houses’ Child and dodgy-expenses MP Nigel Griffiths goes round the city illegally flyposting, council workers from the cleansing department can always be found to take them down at our expense but when the basic service of removing the citizens trash is required the most frail people in our communities are sent on an assualt course.

UPDATE:

The Evening News is now reporting on this, more info: Collections hit as bin lorry row rumbles on
