City Council

‘Teflon Don’ Anderson calls for police state

Teflon Donald Anderson Wants Police StateIt seems that our ‘sad‘ leader, Teflon Don Anderson is going beyond being a councillor and calling for a police state. When the Evening News contacted him with reference to their information that there may well be rogue campsites set up throughout the city, Anderson quickly starts putting the whole saga on to someone else.

Today, council leader Donald Anderson called for tough action to deal with rogue camping.

He said: “If people come into Edinburgh to cause problems, we expect police to deal with that with the full force of the law. We will not accept people just turning up and camping in any green space.”

Luckily the local constabulary knew the facts and were able to stand up for themselves when they put the Teflon Don in his place:

But a police spokeswoman said if activists set up camp on council-owned land, such as the Meadows, it will be for the local authority to issue eviction orders. She said: “We will assist the council in whatever way possible, but the order must come from them before action can be taken.”
