Lothian bus drivers are to hold a one-day strike on Monday, July 18, with further strikes on Saturday and Sunday, July 30 and 31. The council now have fair advance warning of this, so why are they not announcing a break in the crippling parking regulations in the city.
Whilst Teflon Don Anderson and his transport gopher Bumbling Andy Burns are more than happy to take the massive profits from their bus company, it seems that the citizens will again face the brunt of the strike with the Council doing exactly nothing to help them.
In fact not one member of the Council have spoken on the strike vote at all and the bus company is council owned. Another example of councillors’ heads in the sand when there is bad news for the citizens.
