City Council

Donald Anderson ignores Autistic children

IDIOTOnce again this council and it’s leader Donald Anderson are totally ignoring the needs of the city’s disabled. This time it is the autistic children in his own ward.

Kaimes Special School on Lasswade Road lost most of it’s grounds when the neighbouring Gracemount High was rebuilt three years ago in 2002. The school’s 84 pupils with just a small concrete patch as a playground and parents complained to Anderson back then because it was Edinburgh’s only school for autistic children and “Autistic children need the space to run around. Every child has a right to play outside and have a space to go when they want some fresh air.”

Mrs Brown said that the council had taken too long to resolve the problem at the school, adding: “The council can easily build a new playground at the back of the school but we currently have a green mound there which needs to be flattened first.

“We asked the council to do this but they haven’t done it yet.

“Back in 2002 we asked the local councillor, Donald Anderson, to do something about it but we have just been forgotten.

How exactly does this councillor with this special school in his ward, just forget about requests like this? Is that really what we want in our politicians? Of course there is no political capital in it for him until it hit the press – SLIMEBALL!
