Can’t trust politicians so bill the citizens

Technically ChallengedToday’s Scotsman reports that there is going to be a major overhaul in how our MSPs’ expenses are reported.

The overhaul:

will see every receipt and invoice published on the internet in an attempt to restore the public’s battered confidence in the Scottish Parliament.

The revolution in the way expenses are dealt with will mean extra investment by the parliamentary authorities in staff and technology, but Mr Reid believes there is no option if the parliament is to counter the almost continual run of scandals and controversies about MSPs’ expenses which have plagued it since its inception.

And who pays for us being unable to trust our elected representatives YOU – The taxpayer.

Even when they are screwing their citizens they continue to show their total ignorance in how they are handling OUR MONEY. Alisdair Morgan, a stupid SNP member says “It makes sense but it’s a pity the technology is holding us up from doing it sooner.”

Technology is not holding you up. Technology for doing that has been around for years. Today you can walk into any Bank of America branch and put a cheque into the ATM. It scans it for you, asks which account you want it in – you finish your business and it gives you a receipt with your transaction details and a print-out of the cheque.

It is not a technology hold up. The hold up is due to the fact that when parliament was set up, they never took into consideration that people like you Mr. Morgan would try to rip US off. You are your colleagues, we thought, were to be trusted. That is obviously not the case.

So now, money must be taken from our health service, from educating our children and from looking after our old people to be put into specifying and building a system so that we can stop you are your colleagues from stealing from us. We didn’t think that we would loose a First Minister for ripping us off, a conservative leader for putting in false expense claims, a MSP and Peer of the Realm for trying to burn down one of our hotels and possibly killing some of our citizens and lets not forget Keith Raffan for putting in expenses for driving round Scotland when he wasn’t even in the country.

I have a tip for you. Engage brain before opening your mouth. You have the bare faced cheek to blame this on technology – IDIOT – welcome to EdinburghSucks!
