The big news in the police community this week is them wondering whether former Lord Provost Eric “Teeth” Milligan or as they call him “The Maroon Balloon” will use the services of a ‘Blue Light” taxi to get him into and out of Hampden this weekend for the Hibs/Hearts cup semi-final.

Teeth The Maroon Baloon is well known in the city for using the bobbies as his match transport when Glasgow games are called for - in fact one previous post on EdinburghSucks brings up the point: “and that lowlife has us running him and his mates to Hearts matches in glasgow, there was supposed to be an inquiry but that was quickly dropped when it dropped out of the papers”

Bets I’m sure are being waged around the city’s copshops to see who gets the short straw and has to do the driving. In the words of one, “I’ll put money on this one ………. Milligan WILL be transported by the polis on the basis of some arrangement with the Convenor of the Strathweegie Board who will invite him for an offishul breakfast (1215 KO) in their respective positions ………. and Paddy will be powerless to do anything to stop him because a precedent has already been set. What fools they are on the 2nd floor”
