What happened to the days when Scotland once led the world in Education. A Scottish education was the envy of the world and now, according to Professor Richard Lynn, Scotland is the least intelligent part of the UK and performs poorly on average IQ against most of Europe
Maybe if our Director of Education didn’t spend all his time avoiding phone calls from parents (his PA actually told a parent that “he doesn’t take calls from parents”), trying to get himself a business class seat on school trips to warmer climates and instead spent his time making sure that our children got the best education money could buy, we wouldn’t now be bottom of the league in UK IQ scores.
The European bright sparks, according to Prof Lynn, are the Germans and the Dutch (107 IQ points) and Poland (106 IQ points). The UK as a whole comes eighth, behind Sweden (104), Italy (102), Austria (101) and Switzerland (101). Scotland has an avergae IQ of 97.
All the headlines about our schools for the last few years is about closing them down to sell the land to build houses but the actual education of our children seems to be taking second if not third place. The Children & Families department have spent many, many thousands of pounds and a huge amount of resources trying to cover-up the massive fraud caused by ELLP and CityConnect when that money and resources should have been invested in our children’s education.
According to our incoming email, they are currently now using those resources, which they keep telling us are limited, to find out who leaked the story of the “Ewan & Jonah African Jolly” to EdinburghSucks.com and to try and silence their detractors. Surely not a good use of resources and the parents should tell them, LOUDLY!
We definitely don’t wish to promote the Conservative Party or David ‘Taxigate I” McLetchie, he does have a good op-ed piece in the Evening News entitled “Learn the lesson of choice for schools”:Â http://www.scotsman.com/?id=474342006
