These people “new leaders”?

Brian Ferguson has a nice piece about the current infighting in the labour party as they try to figure out who will take the crown from Teflon Don Anderson.

According to Ferguson the front-runners are Trevor ‘Little Dick Dastardly - (so we are reliably informed)’ Davies who is supposed to run planning for the city and Ewan “The Hippy Rev” Aitken who is supposed to run the Children and Families Department. Funnily enough, both these departments have had quite a bit of publicity through this site over the last year.

Only this week EdinburghSucks.com revealed the fact that planning officials are deliberately lying to the planning committee and we published the email extracts to prove it. For years, innocent people going through the planning process have been at a loss to figure out how the planning process worked in Edinburgh and many assumed that it was by the brown envelope convention. As one correspondent put it when they saw the outcome of a planning application “Ah, clearly the Broon Envelope containing the Application was not sufficiently capacious - what with Trevor ‘Wendy-Hoose’ Davies’ reported ambitions, it would have to be larger than an elephant’s scrotum!!”

The other headliner in the race is in charge of a Department that is in complete meltdown and rife with corruption, theft and fraud. Things have become so bad that the cover-up’s presided over by Rasputin Aitken, his director Jobson and his head of strategy Rosendale have led to death threats on a six week old child and the full story of this will be published very soon on EdinburghSucks.com in a series of posts just as soon as lawyers on both sides of the Atlantic have cleared the copy. Morale of staff within the Children & Families department is at an all time low and the soldiers at all levels are asking for investigations into the actions of the generals.

The also ran in the race seems to be Lord Provost Lesley Hinds. However, her share of bad publicity will come as she is tied up with Ewan Aitken in the fraud, cover-up and corruption as will be revealed soon. Unfortunately her quest to try and get a safe parliamentary seat for next years elections was unsuccessful.

It is interesting that Elizabeth Maginnis’ name crops up as taking over from Rasputin Aitken. According to news from North Edinburgh, Maginnis (who is known around the council chamber as Bunty Backhander) is as supposedly straight as a U-bend and there are huge financial questions waiting to be answered about Waterfront Edinburgh which she chairs and there are also questions over multiple conflicts of interest and financial irregularities in projects where she has the power including the Muirhouse Six Circle project, Pilton Elderly Project which she supposedly manages on a full-time basis and her constant fight with Lesley Hinds to have the biggest and best house in the area. Word from her ward is that she has fixed the Community Council and stuffed it with family, friends and employees and she is now trying to do the same with financial clout in the area, the Pilton Partnership.
