After the highlighting of the security implications of the council run myEdinburgh website, specifically the mail system and the flagrant abuse of the security of said system, the council have today acted.
An email went out to all Children & Families employees today from the council’s publicity department informing them of the security problems to do with the whole system and that their email may well have been comprimised. What it didn’t tell them was the compromise would have been by rogue elements within the council or the department, specifically the Cityconnect kroo, namely Mike Rosendale, Alistar Frater, Peter McDougall and our aforementioned ‘worker without portfolio’, David Hillson. Three of whom are current department employees, or is that just two now?Â
The myEdinburgh system was brought back into the council on the nod from head of strategy for Children & Families, Mike Rosendale who was company secretary for Cityconnect for years and was joined on that board by Ewan Aitken, Lesley Hinds and Eric Milligan. This council arms-length company had the pathetic nightmare of a site developed at public expense and there will be more on the shady going’s on with that project very soon. We are told a copy of the email will be heading our way and of course will be published as soon as it arrives.
EdinburghSucks.com raised the issue in our post on 8th April under the headline “Councillors email being read by Frater, McDougall & Hillson” when an EdSucks informant told us that they were “gobsmacked when I saw them going through email boxes of people on the system where I clearly saw councillors email boxes there.”
A special shout out to the planning supremeo who has lost control of his department, Councillor Trevor Davies, who thinks we are liars. Whoops, wrong again!
