Other’s agree “the blog is correct”.

AllmediaScotland.com the site for the media professionals in Scotland has taken some interest in Planning boss Trevor Davies (known around the council chambers as ‘Dick Dastardly’ and known around EdSucks as ‘little dick’ Dastardly) saying we told porkies when in fact it has been public knowledge for decades and longer that it is the politicians who have that esteemed honour.

A senior Edinburgh councillor has fallen foul of a popular blog about life in the city after telling listeners of Stephen Jardine’s talk107 show that the website wasn’t a reliable source of information.

During a discussion on Saturday about the erection of a mobile phone mast just off the capital’s Brunstane Road South, a caller told local planning convenor, Trevor Davies, that EdinburghSucks.com had evidence that, despite council assurances to the contrary, the ownership of the land identified for the mast was unknown. Davies replied that “listeners shouldn’t believe anything they read on EdinburghSucks.com.”

But it seems the blog is correct.

I am not sure whether a politician lying would be news to media professionals in Scotland or indeed anywhere in the world, but I am sure that the fact that unless it’s been corrected by us in EdSucks towers it is at least mildly interesting to media professionals that the information on EdinburghSucks is not lies and definitely should be believed. Perhaps Councillor Davies should take control of his own department before firstly taking control of the Council but also taking control of the airwaves with his vast inaccuracies.
