Vice-convenor admits “no confidence in planning”

Davies cartoon2.JPGFinally a councillor from the Labour group who is Trevor Davies’ vice convenor on the Planning committee has admitted that people have no confindence or trust in the planning system.

The admission came out in a quote to the Evening News when his boss Trevor “little Dick Dastardly” Davies hit out at Scottish Executive reporters who overturned planning committee decisions made by the city’s committee.

And Councillor Ian Murray, vice-convener of the planning committee said: “This is a clear example of why people have no confidence or trust in the planning system. It is a complete disgrace that this decision has been overturned and we have to make our dissent known.”

We know that Councillor Murray is aware of the evidence that we produced this week to show other ‘clear examples’ of exactly why people have no confidence or trust in the planning system.

Unfortunately, ‘little Dick’ hasn’t yet found time to apologise since the hard evidence was presented to him.  Our sources within the council have assured us that our highlighting of the failings of the Convenor and how it didn’t look good for him to be Leader of the Council if such sloppy cover-ups of pertinent information on planning applications and the proof that his officials are not giving him and the committee all the information they require to make decisons show that he cannot even lead the planning of the city never mind the city itself.

With the bad mouthing of Executive Staff, does it not bring the words ‘pot’ ‘kettle’ and ‘black’ to mind?
