Election Shocker

shamiKhan copy.jpgResidents going to vote in Craigmillar yesterday were totally shocked to find City of Edinburgh Councillor for Duddingston Shami Khan standing outside the polling station at the Jack Kane Centre.

However, the shock wasn’t caused by the fact that a city councillor was watching the democratic process taking place.  The shock was caused by watching the councillor handing out leaflets on behalf of the Nolanites and the people who have pulled the community of Craigmillar down for the past 10 years.

Full of glee in his support for the people that the community of Craigmillar didn’t want to see returned he handed out their leaflets and disgusted the residents of his neighbouring ward.

Contempt for Khan continued in the City Chambers early today when candidates were calling him “Friend of Criminals” both inside and outside the building when the count was going on.  Khan was seen bringing Eric “Teeth” Milligan into the count where Milligan told Khan how ‘amazed’ he was at the amount of votes cast in Craigmillar which was the most ever cast in any community council in Scotland.

Khan left the count extremely disappointed when his friends were thrown out by electorate in Craigmillar.

It wasn’t only the people of Craigmillar who were astounded by Khan’s behaviour both last night and today.  Amazingly, fellow labour councillors also registered their disgust and apologised to the residents of Craigmillar including a few ‘executive members’.

To cap off Khan’s disappointment, we have a message for Councillor Rev. Ewan Aitken.  Khan was overheard speaking to a fellow labour councillor and informed said councillor that he wouldn’t be backing Aitken in the upcoming leadership race because he couldn’t control his department.  He was going to speak to Trevor [Davis] about the Cityconnect problem which is not going away - it will save you having to be two-faced again, Shami.

Khan was finally got one thing right - the Cityconnect problem is not going away.  The real stuff has barely started.
