Shami Khanolan it seems is not a liked man by his constituents. In fact his constituents, including the members of Northfield Commuity Centre were not too delighted to learn that Shami Khanolan was canvassing at the Jack Kane Centre, especially as they were hoping he would turn up for the Centre’s AGM.
Fortunately for Mr. Khanolan although his constituents were hoping for him at the AGM, they didn’t really expect him to turn up. After all, he has only attended one of their meetings since he was elected unlike his predecessor Brian Weddell who attended most meetings.
Maybe the good people of Duddingston will take note and give Mr. Khanolan the same hiding he and his Nolanites got in Craigmillar through the democratic process. Also maybe the Evening News front page should have been:

Those in the know will remember Khanolan who used (abused?) his position on the Police Board to have 2 good cops disciplined because they had the temerity to fail to recognise his wife when they stopped her car, and failed to grovel immediately thereafter.
