Potential Leader Maginnis - Some Waterfront questions you need to answer

Bunty Backhander, Edinburgh Waterfront's ChairpersonSome interesting information has come our way from friends.  You are Chair of Edinburgh’s Waterfront are you not Bunty?  As the company is part owned by the Council and the Council are “Investor’s in People” and they proudly display their ‘award’  in the lobby of the City Chambers, can you please answer why 30% of the company you Chair have left in the recent past?  Why a further 30% are being made redundant due to security being outsourced and approximately 16% are actively seeking other employment?  Surely our info cannot be correct, or is it?

Oh, and their is more Bunty.

The security staff are housed in a portacabin with no running water and no toilet facilities. After cleaning the dog kennels and grooming the dogs there is nowhere to wash their hands.  Contrary to their contract some security personnel have not been issued with full uniforms.  Surely a company which is jointly owned by the Council and Scottish Enterprise should comply with Health & Safety rules and regulations.

Should the SSPCA (Scottish Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) not be immediately contacted because there is no running water to clean the kennel or the dogs.  When it rains the area around the kennel becomes a mud bath and the paws of the dogs get full of mud between their toes which then dries and is very uncomfortable.  Actually, we contacted them in case our reader never did.

The other stuff coming in includes:

The jungle drums say Stephen Izatt (Chief Executive) is looking for a new job as his performance has been questionable.  Problems with his relationship with the Planning Department at CEC and the Legal Services at CEC.  One member of staff who claims to have been unfairly dismissed has recently been awarded a substantial sum of money whilst another has also started proceedings against the company for unfair dismissal.

Well Mrs Multi-tasking Bunty Backhander, this is indeed a litany of problems which we hope you will have cleared up before your big run for leader.  We will be following up in minute detail on each of these and other allegations being made against the biggest building site in Europe where your truly socialist aim is to have a £620,000 penthouse flat.  Good on yer.

Maybe if there is a boardroom takover, the equally multi-tasking Councillor Ian Perry, as Board Member, could take over and have them solved.
