It seems that the city’s councillors have finally pulled their finger out in the matter of the Craigmillar Community Council Election.
Regular readers will remember our post a couple of days ago when the crooked cabal that have been running the funding bandwagon for years to ensure that themselves, their families and their friends always had a good publicly funding job for the asking, managed to swindle the community out of a community council.
Well the latest news leaked to us from a neighbour of Paul Nolan known only to us as Majak and an obvious friend of the Depute Leader Ian Perry, tells us that as the crooked and disgraced ex-councillor Paul Nolan and his cousin, the financially challenged, Patsy King who runs the Craigmillar Childcare Services which have had almost a million pounds in funding in recent years, who were both voted in as Chairman and Treasurer respectively, of the community council the other night are going to get their cards marked.
In fact Nolan who was representing the community wing of the Jack Kane Centre at the meeting and King (who according to the last Board Meeting of Craigmillar Partnership (out of Paul Nolan’s mouth) is known locally as ‘nae knickers’) who was representing Craigmillar Credit Union were both voted in the abovementioned positions. However, careful perusal of the results of the groups election to the Craigmillar Community Council shows that in fact Margaret Evans was the person who was voted on for Craigmillar Credit union and another disgraced ex-councillor, David Brown was voted on for Jack Kane Center Community Wing. What this means is that Nolan and “Nae Knickers” were substitutes at the meeting and as such have no voting rights nor do they have the option to stand as office bearers. OH WHAT A SH1TTER! It also means he will be unable to resume his previous position on Craigmillar Partnership’s board.
This means that the meeting will have to take place again with the bent returning officer and at least the majority of the members elected by the community will be present.
The Evening News have a story scheduled for Saturday detailing the debacle of the meeting the other night where there were 100% objections from the few available new guard which the community voted in. This story will probably consist of the community’s disgust at slimeball Nolan and his cronies abusing the democratic process and rumour is that the said the ’silent majority’ asked him to stand.
The disgraced ex-councillor and community slimeball was yesterday flaunting around Craigmillar today with an Evening News photographer dressed in his snappy grey suit with his oh-so-80s white towelling socks.
