Dick Dastardly has another hissy fit

TrevorDavis.jpgTrevor “(little) Dick Dastardly” Davies yet again uses the letters page of the Evening News to have another huge hissy fit without reading the article correctly or even addressing it’s contents.

The article which is covering a survey that was done informs the public that:

A survey of 70 shop owners and more than 300 customers in the area has revealed that nearly half of customers say they would stop shopping on Leith Walk if the parking bays were taken away.

Little Dickie then starts to have a go at one of the innocent businesses (the highly recommended Harburn Hobbies) who gave an honest quote for the story.

In the good councillor’s little mind it is obviously all a huge conspiracy against him because:

At the end of last month, Councillor Douglas Kerr and I held a meeting with a large group of traders from the top of Leith Walk, including the proprietors of (the highly recommended) Harburn Hobbies, who were quoted in your article…….Almost everyone at the meeting left smiling and re-assured……

So because (little) Dick Dastardly leaves a meeting with his own opinion, and says screw the survey which almost 400 people took part in and gave their views.  As far as Little Dickie is concerned that has nothing to do with him so he fires up his bic and sends a letter off dissing the very people he is trying to get on his side!

Of course tricky Dickie forgets to mention that he only had a meeting with the people from the top of Leith Walk but one assumes the survey covered top to bottom.  He also of course forgets that the survey covered 70 traders and 300 shoppers whereas, he obviously wasn’t able to meet the people who actually used the street.

the_three_stooges.pngMaybe it is not a coincidence that the Coonsillor is currently bringing up the rear in the leadership race where even the pathetic Elizabeth “Bunty Backhander” Maginnis is beating him, according to the polls.

Keep writing the letters Trevor, it keeps us in business - we don’t need the parking bays.
