Liar, Liar, Pants on Fire

Stand-in Director of Children & Families, serial bully, fraudster and liar, Mike Rosendale has spent quite a bit of his time in the last week lying whilst in the witness box in the first Dr. Christine Fitton industrial tribunal to decide whether she was in fact a council employee.

The council have spared no expense to try and shut-up Dr. Fitton and for months have had an Advocate on call to handle the case where Dr. Fitton is defending herself because the council have tried to force her into financial ruin by dragging the legal fight out for over a year.Â The case has major implications for the new council leader, Ewan Aitken and Lord Provost, Lesley Hinds, as both were on the board of ELLP and there are strong possibilities that criminal charges will come out of the whole ELLP fiasco before the end of the year.

Rosendale was totally on form with his lies this week.Â At some stages, when Fraudster Mike kept the lies tripping off his tongue even the Chairman of the Tribunal was getting frustrated asking Rosendale “which one is it?”

In the circumstances, an extremely high turnout in support of Dr. Fitton was evident in the public benches at the Tribunal with members of staff from Children & Families turning out in droves to watch their stand-in director of Education and head of strategy look a complete idiot when he denied knowing about what staff who were reporting directly to him were doing although the minutes of meetings showed that he was in fact the puppetmaster.

The interesting thing about the tribunal is whether, now that Rosendale’s lies are documented, he will face perjury charges and the City of Edinburgh will be in the strange position of having their stand-in Director of Education showing the pupils the great example of standing in a criminal dock charged with perjury.Â Â Oh, in what interesting times we live.
