News has been filtering through about the demise of the myEdinburgh.org website which our council through the Education department threw millions of pounds and continues to plough thousands every week in legal costs fighting numerous industrial tribunals and lawsuits from current and former employees.

Regular readers will remember that this site is connected with the John Travers whistleblower case and the Christine Fitton case both of which are tied up legally with the council at the moment. It beggars belief that the possible reason they are shutting down this pisspoor website after throwing so much money into it because the now need the money to fight the legal cases.

Don’t fear though Edinburghers, help is on the way and the council is paying for that as well. One of Rosendale’s fraudsters, Al Frater, who is still employed by the council and spending every minute of his working day on the new system with all of the pisspoor functionality of myEdinburgh by using the domain city of edinburgh dot net. This time he is using the free software Postnuke rather than the multi-million pound myEdinburgh system which the council paid for but unfortunately had David Hillson sign away all the rights to.

Rumours going round that Al is not as stupid as everyone makes out, his bad strategy of the website is actually to start getting people to pay 75pence per minute on technical support questions when people try to access their email if they are stupid enough to sign up for an account. They tried the same trick on myEdinburgh until it was immediately removed when outed by EdinburghSucks.com.

All of this poses an interesting question. Why did the council pay many hundreds of thousands of pounds on the myEdinburgh system if it could be done with a piece of free software called PostNuke?

Still on the myEdinburgh/ELLP/CityConnect/WabsterIP fiasco, we have been informed that Rosendale’s Fraudster and Bully, Mr. Pete McDougall is continuing his illegal activities and sending abusive emails to Dr. Christine Fitton and not so abusive ones to Councillor Ewan Aitken after Dr. Fitton’s appearance at the Industrial Tribunal. But it gets better, he’s supposedly using the CLAN (City Literacy & Numeracy) Edinburgh system which he set up whist ripping the city off and they found out about this morning.

It’s funny how these people who still have to account for £400,000 of missing money and £188,000 of missing equipment are still using council resources to line their own pockets and break the law.
