Another Labour councillor resorts to character assassination

shamiKhan copy.jpgTwice disgraced labour councillor Shami Khan, who himself has been accused of racism by members of the south asian community in Edinburgh has like other labour councillors resorted to character assassination of retired hospital worker William Falconer because Mr. Falconer had the cheek to correctly report the disgraced and disgracefull councillor to the standards commissioner.

The Labour councillor said 57-year-old Mr Falconer was upset after the council refused to cut down a tree outside his home in Meadowfield Gardens, which is in Cllr Khan’s Mountcastle ward.

Although Mr. Falconer’s written submission accuses Cllr Khan of:

• Bringing his office into disrepute by making the remarks about institutional racism;

• Failing to bring his allegations to the police board before airing them in public;

• Allegedly misleading the police board by backtracking from his original statement;

• Allegedly taking part in the Police Board vote on censuring him over his remarks.

Apparently Shami KhaNolan (the name coined for him in Craigmillar after he came out in full support of the Nolanites and electoral cleansing at the Craigmillar Community Council election) doesn’t want to give a thought to the abuse of power and racism he practices and especially the four excellent points Mr. Falconer is sending to the standards commissioner.

Of course this is not the first time that labour councillors resorted to character assassination.  Former council leader, Donald Anderson, tried the same trick with this website when he claimed that one person behind the site was only doing it because a planning application was refused.  Planning chief and leadership race loser Trevor Davies also used the same tack.  Both of them forgot to mention that there was a 4 or 5 year gap between the application being refused the the establishment of this site - obviously didn’t suit their spin.

Current council leader, Ewan Aitken, is also known for dirty tricks.  It is widely known both within and outwith his former Children & Families department that he worked closely with Fraudster Rosendale to try to bring the character of whistleblower John Travers into disrepute to cover up the massive £400,000 fraud and missing £188,000 worth of missing equipment.

If the labour group had any balls or even any honour, they would immediately remove Khan from all positions he currently holds and then deselect him.
