Hot on the heels of Mike Rosendale, Head of Strategy of said department lying through his teeth at the recent Christine Fitton Industrial Tribunal, we now find that the former head of Children & Familes and now council leader Ewan Aitken can also spin a yarn or two when asked questions.
Councillor Aitken, have you ever deleted comments or questions from your blog?
I have not deleted anything from my blog.
“I try to answer as many questions as possible, although some may be merged into one answer.
“All questions are still online, and can be accessed via the archive.”
Oh, you little liaaar!
What happened to the question you were asked about City Connect and the missing £400,000? You will remember the question because you also deleted the two posts from a blogger user called Jan who went in after the question and mentioned it would be nice to see the answer to the question. That user Jan also posted another comment - he knows because he has been a Blogger member since his first blog was published on 9th September 2001 and has all his comments on all blogs are archived.
You deleted all three comments by 2 registered people and EdinburghSucks were not the only parties to see them. Surely this is not the behaviour we expect to see from a man of the cloth. Maybe you were not lying but the good Lord answered your prayers when you asked him to allow you not to answer any awkward questions, and he deleted them - is this the answer?
Shameful, shameful, shameful. How do you expect us to believe you when you say that our children are getting a good education, we need the tram, we should give all council houses to another agency, we should have a congestion charge, when you lie about somthing as frivolous as comments on your own personal blog which you have every right to delete. Even your friends know you have lied if they saw them. Shameful, shameful, shameful.
Will the person who posted the question to the Rev. Aitken’s blog contact EdSucks and have you question posted here.
This will never happen again because we are now scraping the blog on a regular basis to ensure it doesn’t. That is some example to show as leader of the council.
