What we think of Head of Social Work Services

With a hat-tip to one of our correspondents for informing us of this disgusting story, here goes. Pamela Armstrong, the head of Social Work services at Children & Families has been in for a bit of a kicking from the good citizens of Edinburgh for her latest fiasco involving her abysmal treatment of her mother. For example:

“The daughter should be ashamed, imagine doing that to your own mom, she is sick and should be sacked from her high flying job.”

“Mrs Armstrong has behaved appallingly to her own mother, and yet she’s “head of social work services with Edinburgh City Council’s children and families department”. I wonder if the Council’s social work service is proud of their boss today? Doesn’t this come under the heading of bringing the department into disrepute?”

“I pray to God that I never need the services of the City’s Social Work Department if Mrs Armstrong is setting an example for the rest of the staff!”

“Shameful behaviour by a senior Council officer.”

“Yes, I really feel for Mrs Smith, she has done a great job, pity she has a bitch as a daughter and a toe and rag as an ex ’son in law’.”

“What a devious, dishonest, deceitful, dastardly daughter, but maybe these were the very qualities /standards that endured Edinburgh Council Social Work to appoint her as Head of their Department for Families & Children.”

“Named in public but no doubt unashamed of their actions. God knows how some people can sleep at night.”

“What’s the betting Pamela Armsteong goes off sick on paid leave with the stress of it all……………”

“I guess Mrs Armstrong has s*it on many (including her own mother) on the way up. Await those same ones s**tting on you as you come back down.”

“I feel sorry for anyone who has to deal with social services as I can only imagine how nasty Ms. Armstrong is to clients. Anyone who would treat her mother so bad would cetainly treat the disadvantaged and poor people a lot worse.”

You really must click over to read this story but because of the abovementioned quotes, there’s not much more for us to say here - others in the city have spoken up. It is now up to Jonah Jobson to sort this mess out with his Executive Member, Coonsillor Burns - so we are not expecting anything to happen.
