Nolanites selected by Labour for Edinburgh East

meter.pngThe labour party in Edinburgh East have chosen tight Nolanites to stand for both Council and Scottish Parliament elections in May - so you will know what the Lie-O-Meter will be recording when they knock on your door to get your vote.

Standing in the Craigmillar/Portobello seat for Labour is Lawrence Marshall who quite openly attended and made the presentation at the farewell do for one of the architects of the ‘electoral cleansing’ (Donald Anderson’s words) in the Craigmillar Community Counci elections in May last year.  Marshall was invited to the gig by the other architect and rounded man himself, the disgraced ex-councillor, Paul Nolan.  One wonders whether he will also submit answers in support of Nolan to the Judicial Review ordered by his own council.

Whilst the councillors and visitors to the Council chamber last week for the full council meeting heard the shouting and screaming of Nolan’s deputation to save his company which had been trading illegally they also heard the fracas in the corrodors outside the chamber where the “Empowering Communities” worker from Capacity Building Project (which has Nolan on it’s board), Mike Bell, telling democratically elected community councillors that when they arrived back in Craigmillar, the would be murdered.

NolanEN.jpgSo if you are in the Craigmillar/Portobello ward, you like the fact that Nolan admitted that a board he is and has been a member of since it’s inception, has wasted millions of pounds - then you know to put your cross on Labour’s very own anti-democracy candidate Lawrence Marshall.  He is going round Edinburgh telling anyone who will listen that you have to speak to Paul Nolan to understand him.

nmurray.jpgAnother disgraced ex-councillor and fanatical Nolanite, David Brown who also took part in the “electoral cleansing” last year was seen recently showing the new Labour candidate for MSP in Edinburgh East & Musselburgh around the Craigmillar constituency.  Norman ‘nae pals’ Murray who hopes to take Susan Deacon’s seat at the election has now firmly attached his credentials firmly to the Nolan mast.

It seems that ‘Screw Democracy’ Marshall running for council and ‘nae pals’ Murray running have shown their hand early and obviously feel that they don’t need the voters of Craigmillar to win.  Does this show just how close to the bottom of the barrel Labour have to go to get candidates?
