Former Tory leader to be election agent for Bunty Backhander

BuntyBackhander.pngA longstanding Labour source informed us tonight that Christine Richards, former leaderene of the Tories in Edinburgh during the Thatcher era, is now going to become the election agent for Elizabeth “Bunty Backhander” Maginnis and probably Billy Fitzpatrick.

All eyes were on Labour leadership loser Maginnis because she is expected to make full use of all the Pilton Elderly Project’s buses to shunt her few supporters to the polls and talks have been underway by her supporters to use the old Ron Brown trick of using a certain Adams to get into empty houses, take the polling cards and have them used.  News is that she has zero votes in Muirhouse and her only support will come from the Wardie area.

However, recent news about the Mori poll which was conducted in the area, for the SNP, shows Maginnis is trailing in a bad fourth place and if an independent candidate goes up against her, her days in the council will be over.

So what did Christine Richards think of Labour, and put in print on her election materials, when she was running for Parliament in 1999 (http://gdl.cdlr.strath.ac.uk/aspect/cup/a99cupelo1b.html):

Life Under Labour

Labour have been a disappointment in Government:

  • The lowest paid are being hammered by higher taxes
  • New tax on pension contributions
  • Highest ever tax on petrol
  • Labour’s Scottish Councils are sinking in a sea of sleaze
  • Hospital waiting lists have been rising
  • Scottish jobs have been lost due to the high level of the pound
  • Farmers are facing their worst crisis since the war
  • London Labour calls the shots in Scotland

If Tony Blair does not trust Scottish Labour…… How can you?

How strange that this lady now turns up as election agent for the extremely dodgy and ultra-secretative Bunty.  Oh, what an election it is going to be.

Christine Richards has a history of backing losers, she was the spokesperson for the Yes to Edinburgh campaign which was 100% for bringing congestion charges to the city last year.
