Waterfront’s Izatt is off to Jersey

Edinburgh-Waterfront.pngNews in tonight is that Edinburgh’s most secretative organisation, Waterfront Edinburgh, is losing it’s Chief Executive.

The word is that expensive bike-riding Stephen Izatt is of to St. Helier Waterfront but we don’t know if it was a jump or a push.

In Izatt’s bio on the Waterfront it says his “particular interest is risk assessment and risk management”.  We are wondering what risks Izatt was assessing before managing them into a departure. Could it be the fact that Elizabeth “Bunty Backhander” Maginnis is looking more and more like losing elections will come to her for a second time in a few months and Izatt won’t get off with the pillaging of the City’s assets.  Or could it be an upcoming investigation into the planning changes without consultation, sub-standard housing and ecological impact.

One thing for sure, Edinburgh is well shot of him.  I wonder if he will have to come back for the industrial tribunals?

Anyway on the back of this good news we sent the following email to St. Helier Waterfront:

Dear St. Helier Waterfront,
I write today to thank you for taking out of our city, our Waterfront Chief Executive, Stephen Izatt.

Edinburgh sucks just a little bit less today on this amazingly good news.

Maybe they had need of a barrister!  I am sure a lot of the legal profession in Edinburgh will be having a collective sigh of relief knowing they won’t have to deal with him any more.
