Community Centres taking a stand

Last night a pretty full room of Community Centre Management Committee members from across the city had a meeting in the Southside Community Education Centre. The group known as the Edinbugh Federation of Community Council Management Committees were not happy about the current Fraudster Rosendale plan to get rid of pesky Management Committees and put in Business Managers and make sure the local people have no say in the running of their own local centres.

The meeting came on the back of a recent meeting of all of the city’s Community Education staff in the Jack Kane Centre where the attended staff members were a bit wary of Fraudster Rosendale and his wife, Christine Mackay’s motives. In fact we are reliably informed that the majority of the people who actually work with Management Committees thought that these people, who are 100% volunteers, live in the community were doing rather a grand job.

People in the city are wondering what Rosendale is up to and as he managed to have £400,000 swindled from such a small project as ELLP, how much would be wasted by putting Fraudster in charge of all the community centres. More to the point, what will the new Director of Children and Families do about this strange move by the Rosendales.

At the meeting last night the throng were informed that the rot has already tried to set in and the initial community centres that are targetted are in fact the ones that formerly came under the charge of the department’s whistleblower John Travers . So this shows the city that Rosendale is starting of by getting personal.

There were even management committee members who asked that emails not be sent to them through the council system because they believed that their email “was being tapped”. Is this NuLabour council really allowing their officials to go that far? We wouldn’t put it beyond them…. Remember, when we exposed that McDougall, Frater and Hillson (Fraudster’s Bumfluff) were regularly reading elected members email through the myEdinburgh system and the council immediately informed all staff to stop using it. Of course Fraudster Rosendale was also the Secretary of the company which ran myEdinburgh.

Members of Community Centre Management Committees should check with your centre worker as there is going to be another meeting of the Federation real soon.
