More lies on election leaflets - from Elvis

We’d like to thank Elvis and A.N. Other for contacting us and letting us know about Shami Khan and Ewan Aitken lying on their election leaflets.

Elvis writes:

It seems that in Shami Khans election leaflet he is proud of all the activities that he has ensured are on at Northfield Community Centre for children and elderly people.

This is news to the staff and management committee at the Centre who have not seen his face at a meeting of the Centre management committee since he was elected the last time.

Mr Khan would not know what activities were on at the Centre if they came up and slapped him in the face.

One thing we do know is that Shami will know all about slapping in the face, is it not serious assuault that his son was arrested for and in a botched attempt to get him off, Shami decided to call the Lothian & Borders Police institutionally racist and was proved to lie to the Standards Commission over the affair by the recording of the interview he carried out with the Evening News.

Another dodgy statement in the Aitken & Khan leaflet is:

“Shami will…. take a tough approach to anti-social behaviour and work to ensure more police in the community” Really Shami! It seems that a fair amount of the anti-social behaviour is being committed by your family. Maybe you should take 4 years off politics, sort out your own household and maybe come back a better well rounded person who may gain the respect of people.

Aitken and Khan also claim to “restore the 69 service to its previous route and frequence and improve…….“ That is really strange because Maureen Child one of the NuLabour grunts in neighbouring Portobello/Craigmillar ward has told constituents that she will fight to keep the 69 service on the current route. What are they going to do, fight each other in the council chamber at midday to see who is the winner - Bloody liars, the lot of them.

Of course regular readers will remember that Ewan “Rasputin” Aitken covers up fraud on a massive scale and hounds members of staff who take advantage of whistleblowing laws. He worked hard to make a real difference locally but worked harder to make sure the fraud was brushed under the carpet.
