Greedy bastards turn out for the last free lunch

The Evening News was today reporting that the 20 greedy councillors didn’t miss their last grubby chance to have a free meal on the citizens of the city before taking their 20 grand because most of them realised that they were totally unelectable.

Thirteen sitting Labour councillors, five Tories and two Lib Dems have decided not to stand in next Thursday’s council election.

A special lunch for those bidding farewell was held after the last council meeting, when they were joined by colleagues and senior council staff.

And in the words of the Citizens of Edinburgh:

#2 Aye, but it ius the Councillor for Craiglockhart after all! He’s only the age of most of the elecorate in that ward and consequently representative!

It’s people like Anderson that annoy me. He gets a wad for not standing as a councillor but he still stands as an MSP. Talk about a gravy train!
