More election lies from NuLabour

It seems that the last few posts on lies in election leaflets are spawning new posts. The following came in this morning to inform the good people of the Portobello/Craigmillar ward:

Maureen Child’s spurious claim on the New Labour election leaflet that the Council “saw off the threat of the Superstore” has come undone by none other than her running mate Cllr Lawrence Marshall who has carefully distanced from that flight of fancy.

He stated that he was not “responsible for that part” and that it was written solely by Child. Child has continued to peddle this nonsense by rambling on Porty Online which is under under the control of Bob Jefferson, a new labour groupie.

A glance at this sparsely used web site shows that it is mainly filled by bits and “Bobs” (no pun intended) by Bob the “Moderator” who holds conversations with himself using one of his many noms de plume. He does not of course use the pseudonym for which he is most notoriously known, namely ‘The Dalriada Drunk’. This was awarded to him last year when he was drunkenly singing sectarian football songs in a local hostelry. He refused to shut up and the police had been called.

A rowdy Bob was charged with a breach of the peace after verbally abusing in the most awful sexist terms, a woman police constable. Bob spent the night in the police cells. We think our local police are a good lot and hope they recognize that the action of the Dalriada Drunk is an aberration which decent citizens deplore. Bob is some Moderator when he is incapable of moderating his own language.

Keep them coming in and we would be more than happy to publish them.
