Alex Salmond

It was a farce and It Should’ve Been Me.

Well, the Parliamentary election fiasco is still not over and we still do not know whether we have a leading party in Parliament.  The international observers have spoken:

Thirty experts from North America invited to witness the introduction of the new electronic voting system used in last Thursday’s ballot described the number of spoiled votes as a fiasco.

Robert Richie, executive director of Fair Vote, who was in Scotland as a guest of the Electoral Reform Society said, ‘It’s totally unacceptable to have so many votes spoiled. There are parallels with the problems in the presidential election in Florida in 2000.’

The number of votes deemed by returning officers to be spoiled varied from around three per cent to 13 per cent depending on the count. ‘We were also very concerned about the lack of uniform standards in judging what votes were rejected and which were deemed to be valid,’ said Richie.

Now we see that one of wee Joke McConnel’s army is getting fiesty to keep his name in the papers and is.  Of course, this is not a solo effort.  There is no doubt wee Joke has been bending his ear from is post-election hideaway where he is licking his wounds.  It also seems that he is beginning to diss some of his former allies including former Health (cough cough) Minister Andy Kerr.  It kind of reminds us of this video clip:

The SNP must also be disappointed - this was definitely not what was predicted by the majority of the polls.  The total kicking given to the Socialists is down to one man, Tango Tommy.

Also proved wrong this election was EdSucks.  We called for the electorate to vote for Independents. Never happened.  However our visit count went to it’s highest in history on Friday the day of the count with 6,587 visits.
