It seems that former Council leader Ewan ‘Rasputin’ Aitken has become a little less able to listen to comment since the election.  A quick look at his blog sees all the comments have been deleted.

Councillor Aitken has taken the title of the blog down to show that he is not currently leader but he has left his blogging rules:

Blogging Rules - I welcome strong opinions strongly expressed, but please don’t use this blog if you intend to be abusive or intend to use offensive language. The government of our City is an important matter and the public conversation that I want to encourage must be based on mutual respect and common courtesy. let’s listen to each other, not shout at each other.

With the latest changes to the blog it seems not only does he not welcome only strong opinions but any opinions at all and his mention of “public conversation” is simply empty.

It seems that running the blog has been a bit of a challenge for the good Councillor - should he have been running a council when the old blog seems to have been so challenging?  Answers in an email to the usual address.
