SNP/FibDem coalition Nolan’s new Bitchboys/girls?

News into EdSucks towers tonight is that the voters of Portobello/Nolanmiller are being possibly dropped by the Liberal Democrat and SNP councillors that they voted in.

Regular readers of not only EdSucks but also the Evening News will recall how Paul “We’ve Wasted Millions” Nolan’s empire started crumbling and his family and friends employment agency, known formally as Craigmillar Childcare Services (CCS) which had been trading insolvent and illegally, (even with annual inputs of almost three quarters of a million pounds to supply full-time nursery provision to about 10-15 children, after-school provision to about 40 children and Youth club provision to about 18 children) was to be shut down by the previous labour administration.

However, what the previous administration forgot in all their electioneering was to put the contract to supply the childcare out to tender before they left.

It seems that Nolan has wasted no time in getting Stevo on his side and the word is he has forced Cardownie to put up a case to allow CCS to continue for another 3 months and to stop the redundancy notices being served on Nolan’s family and friends.

People of the Greater Craigmillar area will be up in arms when they read this. There is no amount of spin that the Scottish Nolan Party (SNP) and now the proven FibDems can put on this to make it look good.

The people of Craigmillar have been to the ballot box on two occasions to get rid of Nolan. First was the Community Council elections where the Nolanite crowd were totally decimated but then came in through the back door and the whole situation is now currently Judical Review.

The second time they went to the ballot box was on May 3rd. They took the ward from what was 3 labour councillors down to one labour as that was the best way of getting rid of Nolan as he is a long-time labour member and is of course a disgraced former labour councillor.

The people of course never expected former labour leading light now Scottish Nolan Party to betray them so completely and quickly.

The democratically elected Craigmillar Community Councillors have already had a deputation to the full council saying that they wanted childcare to remain in Craigmillar but the standard and quality of the management and board of CCS was pisspoor to say the least. What they forgot to mention, or perhaps were too diplomatic to mention was that the management and board of CCS are also as hell.

If this type of corruption can spread to this new administration so quickly, what hope is there for the next four years. Even worse, it could even mean that NuLabour will get their arses back on the ruling benches at the next election and Ewan Aitken will stop throwing his dummy out of the pram.

What we really have here is a screw-up first by labour by not immediately getting the tender out toot-sweet now compounded millions of times by the Scottish Nolan Party/Fib Undems giving the Nolan clan more cash.

Councillors Bridgeman, Child and Hawkins better be hammering down the doors of their leaders and whips on behalf of their constituents. We also hope that the conservatives don’t sit on their hands for this decision and make sure that this doesn’t get through.

A final note is that the information we have is that CCS only supplied childcare to 16 (SIXTEEN) children through last summer.
