Drunk with his daughter and mother?
Being totally behind the Evening News’ campaign to let the Scottish Government know that the citizens of Edinburgh want them to back off rather sharpish from laying their grubby paws on the Royal Hospital for Sick Kids unless they are going to inject a couple of billion pounds to upgrade it, we were happy to see that Scotland’s own Lord Haw-Haw-Haw-Hee-Hee-Hee had tabled a motion in Parliament encouraging “everyone to sign the Edinburgh Evening News Hands Off the Sick Kids petition”. How very nice of the ennobled gent…. we thought.
So a quick click to open a new window ensues and we see what words of wisdom the blustering idiot has put together to further the cause on his aptly named blog, “For Foulkes Sake”, over at http://www.yourlothiansmsp.com/home/blog. Nothing, nada, zip, diddly squat, nought, zilch.
So all this bravado in Parliament and on his hotline from his desk to Scotsman Publications was a whole lot of hot air which he knew would get his name, yet again, in the papers for not a lot at all.
An interesting piece of nimbyism in his motion states “insists that the presumption against centralising hospital services like this is one manifesto commitment the SNP Government must keep“. Excellent piece of stuff M’Luddite – It was the Labour Policy to centralise, centralise, centralise the NHS which got your party thrown out in various constituencies in May.
Baron Foulkes of Cumnock really is a first class publicity-seeking twat!
