Not in the public interest – Ask the bloody public

Wendy screams across the chamber

The major line from the Electoral Commission’s statement today was “while Wendy Alexander did not take all reasonable steps in seeking to comply with the relevant legislation, she did take significant steps. Having considered all the circumstances, the Commission has decided that it is not appropriate or in the public interest to report this matter to the Procurator Fiscal.” Talk about out of touch. Maybe they should ask the bloody public.

When she issued her statement she continued telling the people of Scotland her lies. “My honesty and integrity have been confirmed by this judgment.” Total crap. With a hat tip to Guido “If you did not deliberately solicit a string of donations from £999 to £950, just below the reporting threshold, we might believe you had some integrity. The list of undeclared donations included; GMB Scotland £999, Michael D Rutterford £999, Neil Davidson £995, Nicholas Kuenssberg £995, John Lyons £995, Phoenix Car Company £995, Strathvale Holdings Limited £995, City Refrigeration Holdings Limited £995, David J Pitt Watson £990, Paul Green £950. That is a pattern of deceit and a deliberate attempt to avoid donor transparency.”

The Electoral Commission say themselves that “Those standing for party office or, as a members of a campaign team, soliciting or handling donations, have a responsibility to ensure that they understand the requirements of the 2000 Act and the commission’s published guidance. “ Except we now see that this does not apply to Bendy Wendy nor her team of deceiptful intransparent labou thugs.

This is the typical of the level of politician we in Scotland are dished out from Labour Party Headquarters. Interestingly there has been no comment from their former buddies the Fib-Dems that we have seen.
