The lies, the lies, and the waste – set to continue

“I think my honesty and my integrity have been vindicated.” says Wendy Alexander on BBC Radio last night: (listen here.) The definition of vindicated is “absolved: freed from any question of guilt; “is absolved from all blame”. How does this square with the Electoral Commission’s statement. “Wendy Alexander did not take all reasonable steps in seeking to comply with the relevant legislation”. That is what they said without a doubt (click here for the full statement.) This must be indicative of the way the Labour Party are going to continue in Scotland.

More Maginnis Lies

More Maginnis Lies – Check the times.

We have seen it here in Edinburgh. While Edinburgh Sucks was highlighting the massive waste of money at the Waterfront we were constantly called liars by Bunty Backhander, her followers and her media friends. Only later, when the new mob got installed after the election was the true extent of the workings of the SCUM councillors that sat on the board of Waterfront Edinburgh come to light in the mainstream media, in some cases two years later and Maginnis’ and Perry’s followers blended into the background. Edinburgh’s Labour hierarchy all stayed silent as their total lack of morality surfaced to the fore – Scum like Aitken, Hinds, Milligan would rather snipe about the current administration from the sidelines rather than be honest with the electorate, come out and damn the actions of their own colleagues. Strangely total silence. Interestingly, even after the massive waste was exposed, Maginnis continued the lies (see right)

Just look at the abuse for yesterday’s council meeting one of the crackers was a question here from Councillor Andrew Burns:

Question By Councillor Burns to be answered by the Convener of the Education, Children and Families Committee at a meeting of the Council on 7 February 2008
(1) What was the percentage increase in spending on schools from 1999-2007 in revenue and capital?
(2) How many new build schools were delivered in Edinburgh between 1999-2007?
(3) How many schools were fully or partly refurbished and/or extended between 1999-2007?
(4) How many learning assistants are now employed by the Authority?
(5) What is the total percentage in 2006/7 of all areas considered by the HMle for primary schools and for secondary found to be good, very good, or excellent?
(6) Is this an increase from session 2005/6 and if so what is that increase?

So instead of Councillor Burns making probably one phone call and getting the answers, he decided to go to the expense of making a shitty formal request for the information probably to make some cheap political point. So using taxpayers money for political ends. Now don’t get us wrong, there were some questions that need to be asked especially the ones about Fraudster Rosendale and his handpicked Neighbourhood Managers whose jobs are all safe in any cuts – like this one.

Is it any wonder that the latest Populus poll has 73% of the population viewing all politicians as equally sleazy.

The definition for politics currently doing the rounds is:

Politics pol·i·tics, pronunciation: \ˈpä-lə-ˌtiks\

Function:
noun plural but singular or plural in construction
Etymology:
Greek politika, from neuter plural of politikos political. From poli meaning many and tics which means blood sucking grubs.
