Just following the story where they had a survey which told them what they wanted wasn’t required comes a story where they were told that we wanted something but they are telling us to getifu.
This time it is the Newhaven Heritage Museum – which charts the area’s centuries-old traditions of boat-building and fishing. The survey said leave it in it’s original position but the council and their string pullers Forth Ports disagreed and the council went further and said we won’t pay for the required works to do what the survey said not to do. What total and utter twats.
The SNP councillor for Ratho Climbing Centre, Deidre “I’d have a facelift but look at it, it’ll cost millions” Brock, was resurrected after slashing the city’s crèche provision and doubling prices to do the double speak:
“We’re extremely disappointed that after many months of hard work and discussions by all parties concerned, this is the situation we have now arrived at. Nevertheless, we remain fully committed to ensuring that Newhaven’s history and heritage are preserved.
“There is a wealth of enthusiasm for this locally and it’s important we harness this in developing the way forward, something the museums team is keen to do.”
So what the idiot must be saying is that we will keep all the stuff but you punters have no chance of ever seeing it whilst we are in power. She is never so negative when she speaks about the Ratho Climbing Centre which is being subsidised by millions every year and finds the council are the benefactors the just keep on giving.
Where are they doing all these surveys, can someone who has taken part email or comment below because nobody we have ever spoken to has!!!!
