John Barrett, LibDem trougher and liar – Lothian’s MPs – the things the Evening News missed

Never trust a boy to do a man’s job our dads used to say. Well the Evening Chip Paper are taking that to extraordinary lengths. Covering the Lothians MP’s expenses they seemed to have a few gaping holes – and they had not one, not two but three esteemed hacks working on the story.

First they accepted the lying LibDem mouthpiece John “I don’t publish all my own expenses on my website” Barrett that he publishes his expenses on his website. No he doesn’t and a quick check will prove it. He publishes the totals which are the same as published on at least tens of websites including theyworkforyou.com. A message for Barrett to put in his next press release that the Evening News just loves to print – send photocopies of your receipts you deceitful slimeball and let’s see if you have been dry-humping us for the John Lewis list, Kit-Kats, helipads or dog food. When you say you publish your expenses then that means the fcukin receipts as well you hoon.

On his website allowance page he calls the Additional Costs Allowance (ACA) “London living costs” and then goes on to say ” From April 2009 this will be known as Personal Additional Accommodation Expenditure (PAAE).” Why give us the new name but not mention the name that all the newspapers and stations are telling us people like him are abusing.

It is also interesting to find out that in 2006/2007 Barrett was joint 1st in claiming the ACA. Back in 2001/2002 he was joint 2nd. Yet today he tells us “A flipper? No. Claims for a “small” rented London flat.” That small rented London flat cost us £22,663 in the last financial year oink-oink – and his piece of piss website cost us £9,980 – just £20 below the maximum £10,000 that can be claimed – oink-oink. What he needs to do is spend some of that communications allowance on scanning his receipts and getting each and every one up on the website we are paying for so we can see every single penny of those expenses explained to our satisfaction.
