News got to us as well. They cannot pass minutes at their meetings because they are so split. At one meeting their dim-witted ComEd worker told them that it would be OK to pass two different sets of minutes. They have two sets of “true and accuracte” minutes for the same meeting!!!!!!!!!! How the f*ck does that work.

Somebody should report them to the Charity Commission because most management committees are charitys.

Everyone is staying out the playground now. Meetings must be taking place in houses with bottles of vino and brewsters.

Seemingly Magdalene’s youth worker Rab Hogg has upped the stakes. Not only has he arranged to have the whistleblower’s tyres slashed but he arranged for the same thing to happen to his innocent wife who has two children under 4 to transport around.

Actually Basa has never been involved in Magdalene Community Centre other than giving donations – Edinburgh Sucks have donated goods to the Centre as it has to more than 30 Charities or community groups throughout the city. I am afraid Anonyme and Auld Leither are both wrong. It may be worth reiterating here that The Basa is not a person but a collective of people who write for this site.

However, we understand from all the minutes that the person who has his property and his wife’s property trashed through Management Committee members actually stood down not only as Chair of the Management Committee but also from the Committee itself. Ask Margo MacDonald – she was there.

We are also reliably informed, that he did attend all meetings and digitally record some (as he was allowed to do according to the Committee’s own minutes – and of course case law “no expectation of privacy at a public meeting” ) as a member of the public until he brought up the conflicts of interest they were having. These conflicts were confirmed by Pancho Byfield, the current secretary of the Management Committee and other members which can be confirmed by the various sets of minutes for each meeting. However, when he raised the questions about the conflicts of interest suddenly all meetings were closed to all members of the public – and the excuse given is that they were learning to work as a committee (the meeting before their AGM) or something. Kind of like the City Council closing the public gallery during council meetings – despicable init.

Yes the picture was of themselves. Did you notice the “twins” by the way hehehe kelly and strawheid. That one gave us all a good laugh. I know there can sometimes be a time delay between twins but a 25 year time delay! Time has not been kind to the strawheid twin hehehe. the word in the school and playground is that mrs wright isn’t happpy that its bad press for brunstane school. she isn’t happy that the community centre waited 6 weeks to leak it to the papers on armistace day to get publicity for themselves. they were all at the centre last week with their evening news tucked under their arms and smiling. mrs wright isn’t smiling and neither are the parents because they are treating us like idiots.

I am a parent of a Brunstane pupil. I have heard different versions of what happened. I do not know which one is the truth but I do know I was told about the graffiti long before they reported it.
I don’t appreciate silly lies being told to maximize the effect, in doing so they also abused the memory of the soldiers for maximum publicity. That on it’s own is truly shocking!
I agree with Mrs Wright it was not good publicity for the school. It was not good publicity for the community centre either in that school parents know they have lied to both the national press and the TV cameras.
Parent 2 was correct, it was not a picture of children playing, it was indeed a picture of themselves. I also would like the next mural to be of the children. A picture of themselves will only remind me of the lie they told.
