Tonight’s story in the Evening News: After we passed the BT prices to the Evening News (where they again failed to credit us for - last time those bastards are getting anything – until the next time) we were kind of shocked that they didn’t allow all you citizens to download the documents. It transpired on television last night that six of the eight crèches in Edinburgh would be closing forthwith without any consultation at all. So much for the listening FibDem/SNP administration who are now showing that childcare in Edinburgh is in it’s biggest crisis in living memory.

It seems our premature release of the CLD review paper has caused all sorts of problems for the rulers of Children & Families. Our own Fraudster Rosendale is furious and blaming the politicians for Edinburgh Sucks publishing it and then the Evening News doing a follow-up saying the Unison, Edinburgh’s own toothless union, are getting slightly warm around the collar.

It seems our “exclusive” earlier this week on the slashing of front-line services in Community Learning Development (CLD) section of Children & Familes is really doing the rounds on the internet and in print publications in the city. Opposition politicians in the Council are up in arms that they have to come to rely on EdSucks towers to find out what they should be finding out in committee.
John Ross, service conditions convenor of the toothless union known as Unison (and also a member of the Council’s own management we have been informed) has joined the council and also shown his total disgregard for our city’s communities.
It seems that six Edinburgh community centres are going to have their front-line worker taken away in the latest slashing in Children and Families. Interestingly, the report that shows the slashing was only came out two days after the last Education, Children & Families Committee meeting and all the neighbourhood based paper-pushing Managers are all sitting happy in their jobs. EdinburghSucks revealed some time ago that the CLD Managers’ salary packages were ₤80,464 back in 2005/06
