Huge moves are afoot in the Council with it’s arms length (we own it, they take the blame) companies. The news we have is that TIE, Waterfront and EBS will all be amalgamated into one company.

Well it was nice to see a follow-up story in the Evening Chip Paper about Ian Perry getting ₤400,000 of council money over 10 years when he never even knew he was doing the job. It really is a bit of a joke.

Jobs(on) for the boys which we reported a week ago has now been picked up by the Evening News and Scotsman with with few more details in fact less details than we pubished on EdSucks. Both rags have his job as “Project Manager” which raises questions as to who is right, EdSucks or Scotsman Publications? [...]
It seems the change of administration hasn’t brought about any change in the hiring procedures for the council’s arms length companies – it’s still who you know rather than what – or in some cases who you pop between the sheets with.
